Luke Kingma was born in Ridgewood NJ, a city he will never be able to afford to live in, on October 22, 1987. He quickly grew into a tall, slender individual who made some decisions (as we all do) that resulted in a BA in Film Studies (and a dual-major in Business! Smart, smart move by Luke). He lives with the mentality that the glass is always half-full, and a 2006 Time Magazine Person of the Year award has only made him more optimistic. Luke’s opportunistic, cunning and uncanny sense for business stemmed from his childhood, when he was the first person in his entire school to have a Japanese Pokemon card. Luke was barraged with trade offers, but skillfully held out until he got the right offer. His patience paid off – he ended up with a brand new Charizard, Venusaur, and Blastoise, all holographic.
He’s been continuously improving at everything ever since. Luke is often impatient with consumer products companies, and isn’t afraid to write a condescending, cowardly e-mail or two to set them straight. The stories he tells are true. All of them. Feel free to e-mail him at LukeKingma@gmail.com if you have any questions or hurtful statements or opinions! Also, feel free to add him on The Book and follow him on Twitter, where other stuff happens sometimes: Facebook, Twitter.
Update: These days, you’ll find him roaming the streets of Manhattan and Brooklyn and working for a pretty sweet little entertainment marketing company called Big Fuel! Life is good. The World is good.
